1. Do you qualify to receive both Medicare and Medicaid?
Then you can enroll at anytime! You can join, switch, or drop your Medicare Advantage Plan or Medicare prescription drug coverage anytime throughout the year.
2. Have you recently moved, or are you planning to move within the next year?
If you are planning to move and your current plan is not available at your new address, you have 3 months to make a new selection.
3. Are you turning 65 soon?
You have 3 months before your 65th birthday, your birthday month, and 3 months after your 65th birthday to choose a Medicare Advantage plan.
You may still qualify for a Special Election Period to choose a new health plan if you have lost healthcare coverage or have had any other health status change recently.

Medicare is made up of four parts:
Part A (Hospital Insurance)
Offers limited coverage for inpatient costs such as hospital stays or hospice benefits, and may also include some home-health care benefits.
Part B (Medical Insurance)
Offers limited coverage for outpatient costs such as certain treatments administered in a doctor’s office, the cost of medical supplies and some ambulance and preventive services.
Part C (Medicare Advantage Plans)
Provided by private companies, like WellCare, approved by Medicare, the plans cover the same services as Part A and Part B. Medicare Advantage plans can also include prescription drug coverage (Part D) and may offer extra coverage, such as vision and hearing care, dental services, and wellness programs.
Part D (Prescription Drug Coverage)
Optional coverage offered by private companies, like WellCare, to ensure all Medicare eligible beneficiaries have access to coverage to help with the cost of a broad range of prescription drugs.
